Thank you, Knapsack

After 10 years, 59 releases, and more than 230,000,000 downloads, we archived knapsack to focus on knapsack_pro.

The repository remains available to fork and the gem hosted on RubyGems, so your existing setup won't be affected.

Knapsack was created for a work project back in 2014. The reason was that Artur couldn't stand waiting 15 minutes for the tests to finish.

A year later, with 80-ish people asking for more features, Knapsack Pro was born.

Artur worked a full-time job during the day, contributed to Knapsack and Knapsack Pro after work, and moved to customer support for part of the night.

In 2020, Shadi joined with his biz wit and some needed hours of sleep. Soon after, the duo switched to full-time and co-founded the current business entity.

Today, thousands of developers use Knapsack Pro, which is crafted by a core team of three people, two cats, and one dog.

As you can imagine, the last ten years have been quite a journey.

We are grateful to the Ruby community, the contributors, and friends who made this possible.

Looking forward, we'll focus on Knapsack Pro, which comes with a free plan—we'd be honored to have you on board.
